Website feedback tools, compared honestly
There are a lot of tools for website feedback, and they're not all trying to do the same thing. Some put a widget on your site for every visitor. Some are built for designers reviewing files. Some are bug recorders for developers.
We make StiqNote, so we're not neutral. What we can do is be fair: every fact about another tool below comes from its own website, checked between 30 September and 7 October 2026, and each comparison says where the other tool is better.
The short version

Prices are monthly billing in US dollars, excluding tax, except Ybug, which lists prices in euros, and Jam, which only shows a yearly price. List price is the cheapest plan that fits 5 people. Like for like is the cheapest plan that fits 5 people and has what StiqNote Pro includes: logs or a session replay, Jira or Linear, and private comments. Each comparison has both prices for 3, 10 and 20 people, too.

Do you want a script on the site? Marker.io, Userback, Usersnap and Feedbucket work through a widget you install. That's great when you control the site and want feedback from any visitor. StiqNote, ruttl, Pastel, Atarim, MarkUp.io and Bugsmash don't need one; Bugsmash loads the address you give it into its own review canvas instead.
Do developers need the console? StiqNote, Marker.io, Userback, Usersnap, Feedbucket, Jam and Webvizio capture browser logs. Plan levels differ a lot: from Jam's Free plan, Usersnap's every plan and StiqNote Pro, to Marker.io Team and Userback Business.
Do you review files as well as websites? BugHerd, ruttl, Pastel, Atarim, MarkUp.io, Bugsmash and Webvizio handle PDFs or images; Bugsmash also covers video and slide decks, and Webvizio covers Figma files. StiqNote doesn't.
Do clients need to sign off? Pastel (every plan), Atarim, MarkUp.io, ruttl and StiqNote Agency have approvals of some kind.
Is your team growing? Per-seat tools (ruttl, Jam) get expensive fast, and Bugsmash charges $5 a month for every user past its plan's cap, with no limit. StiqNote, BugHerd, Feedbucket, Atarim, Userback Business and MarkUp.io are flat or banded. At 20 people, StiqNote Agency is $69 a month, less than Feedbucket ($89), MarkUp.io (from $79, by usage), Userback Business ($99, unlimited seats), Bugsmash's Agency plan ($129) and Webvizio's Advanced plan ($76). Only Atarim ($67 plus credits) is a little cheaper on list price. From about 28 people, Userback Business costs less.
Where StiqNote is different
- Comments stay on the page. Pins sit on the element, for the whole team to see on the live site, and stay put when the layout moves.
- No script, and no install for clients. Your team uses the extension; clients use a guest link.
- Bug context on a small plan. Console, network and a replay of the last 3 minutes on Pro, for $29 for 5 people.
- Suggest an edit. Change text, colour and spacing on the page and hand over the CSS. Only ruttl has something close.
- Two-way sync with developer tools. Status and comments with GitHub, Linear, Jira, Asana, ClickUp, Trello and Notion.
- Built for AI agents. An API, a CLI and an MCP server that can read feedback and apply suggested CSS.
Where StiqNote isn't the right fit
- You need feedback on PDFs, images, Figma files or videos.
- You need mobile app feedback.
- You need SSO, or a custom domain for guest links.
- You want a task board inside the feedback tool.
- You want surveys, NPS or a public roadmap.
- You're a team of 20 or more who only need basic feedback, without logs or developer integrations. Some flat-priced tools cost less at that size.
About these comparisons
We checked every competitor fact on the vendor's own site between 30 September and 7 October 2026. Where a vendor's page was unclear, contradicted itself, or didn't render for us, we say so on the comparison page. "Not found" means we looked and didn't find it, not that it doesn't exist. Prices change: if you spot something out of date, email support@stiqnote.com and we'll fix it.
