Changelog

What's new in StiqNote

#1.0.1

Install StiqNote on a client's site, areas for guests, and fixes from our first round of testing.

  • New
Install on your site. For sites the guest link can't open (bot protection, staging behind a password, pages behind a login), add one small script to the site, or the WordPress plugin. Visitors load nothing; only people with a guest link and your team see StiqNote. In Share → Install on your site.
  • New
When a page moves, for example a draft that gets its permalink on publishing, StiqNote notices the redirect and offers to move its comments to the new address.
  • New
Areas for guests. Clients can drag out an area to comment on a whole section, on a computer.
  • New
A short review request. After a while of real use, StiqNote asks once whether you'd leave a review in the store. Close it and it stays away.
  • Improved
A new welcome screen when you install StiqNote: sign in first, with a look at the product beside it.
  • Improved
A friendlier first-page tour, with tips as StiqNote sticky notes.
  • Improved
The new-comment button shows the StiqNote mark.
  • Improved
After a client approves a page, they see one quiet line saying StiqNote is free for small teams, unless your team turned the StiqNote credit off.
  • Improved
Guest links open the real page on sites where StiqNote is installed.
  • Improved
Clearer messages when a file can't be attached, and "1 reply" instead of "1 replies".
  • Fixed
A page's first comment could look missing after an immediate reload.
  • Fixed
In dark mode, the sign-in popup no longer shows a white strip when it grows, and Resend code and Use a different email sit closer together.
  • Fixed
A client's new comment now notifies the team's owners and members.
  • Fixed
Moving a site clears the old pins and threads right away.
  • Fixed
Team and Share show the latest members when they open.
  • Fixed
On a phone, sign-in opens as a sheet over the bottom bar, and the "Posted" card gets out of the way.
  • Fixed
A round in progress no longer offers to go through the site again, and a saved deadline shows Done.
  • Fixed
Small layout fixes in Branding, Advanced, the API key box and the webhooks panel.

#1.0.0

The first public version, with integrations, client sign-off, your own branding and new plans.

  • New
ClickUp, Trello, Notion and Microsoft Teams. Send threads to ClickUp, Trello and Notion with status synced both ways, and post new feedback to a Microsoft Teams channel.
  • New
Feedback deadlines (Agency). Give a review round a deadline and schedule reminder emails for clients who haven't answered. Comments pause on their own when the deadline passes.
  • New
Email right away, and reply by email. Get an email for each new comment or reply as it happens, and answer by replying to it.
  • New
A client page. Each guest has one page with everything they asked for on their site and what's been done.
  • New
Review on a phone. The guest link has a phone layout: one bar at the bottom, comments and threads as sheets.
  • New
Bulk actions. Select several comments in the list to resolve, reopen, assign, set a priority, status or due date, send them to your tracker, or delete them at once.
  • New
Move a site to another domain. When staging goes live, move every page, comment and guest to the new address in one step.
  • New
Client sign-off (Agency). Start a review round for a site: the whole site, or pages you pick from its sitemap, from pages with comments, or pasted in. Clients approve each page or ask for changes, and every answer is kept with who and when. Choose whether one client or every client must approve. Send reminders, pause comments between rounds, and look back at every round's history.
  • New
Your branding for clients (Agency). Your logo, colour and name on the review page, the guest bar and the emails clients get.
  • New
Linear, Jira, Asana and Slack. Send threads to Linear, Jira and Asana, with status synced both ways. Post new feedback to a Slack channel, and resolve or assign it right from Slack.
  • New
Sign-off in the MCP server. AI tools can read review rounds and clients' answers.
  • New
Webhooks. Signed events for new comments, replies and status changes, with a delivery log, test events and redelivery.
  • New
Comment sync. Replies in StiqNote go to the linked issue, and comments in your tool that start with #stiqnote come back as replies.
  • New
Link to existing. Link a thread to an issue that's already in your tracker, instead of making a new one.
  • New
People and defaults. Match team members to people in your tools by email, and set a default assignee and priority.
  • New
Send every new comment to your tracker on its own, and pick a destination per website.
  • New
Due dates in your email. The daily summary starts with what's due soon or overdue, and "Your week" arrives on Monday with what's due that week.
  • New
A Due filter and a Due date sort in the comments list.
  • New
Sign in with GitHub, next to Google and an email code.
  • New
Getting started: a short checklist for new teams at the top of the Comments list.
  • New
stiqnote.com, with a live demo you can try on the page itself, no account needed.
  • New
Update banner. StiqNote tells you when a new version is ready, and updates with one click.
  • New
Error reports, only if you agree. When StiqNote itself hits an error, it asks before sending anything.
  • New
Feedback when you uninstall: one optional question, to help us fix what went wrong.
  • Improved
Session replay keeps the last 3 minutes of the page, up from 1, so developers see more of what led to a bug.
  • Improved
Private notes on every plan, Free included.
  • Improved
New plans. Free now includes statuses, priority, due dates, assignees, @mentions, attachments and who's typing. Pro gets extra members up to 10. Agency gets a 14-day trial, and extra members from the 16th. See pricing.
  • Improved
Storage: 2 GB per member on Pro, unlimited within fair use on Agency.
  • Improved
Emails share one clean layout, and the digest shows the 15 newest items, grouped by page.
  • Improved
Guest links copy the no-install link by default.
  • Improved
Quiet sites: StiqNote stays hidden, and sends nothing, on payment pages and apps nobody reviews. Replay never records on checkout pages.
  • Improved
Open invites hold a seat, so a full team can't over-invite.
  • Improved
Refunds: a full refund within 14 days of your first payment, for everyone.
  • Improved
    StiqNote needs fewer Chrome permissions.
  • Fixed
A due date typed by hand keeps its whole year.
  • Fixed
The replay keeps the moments just before a report.
  • Fixed
The side panel no longer jumps back to Comments when the plan or team changes.
  • Fixed
Someone who joins the team while a page is open can be assigned right away.
  • Fixed
The review page's buttons read clearly in dark mode.
