Terms of Service

Last updated 27 October 2026Broes Consulting BV, Belgium

These terms are the agreement between you and Broes Consulting BV, Stationsstraat 140A, 8340 Sijsele, Belgium, company number 0761.614.207, VAT BE0761614207 ("we", "us"), for using StiqNote: the Chrome extension, the review pages at review.stiqnote.com and *-view.stiqnote.com, the API, the command-line tool and the MCP server.

By creating an account or using StiqNote you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you use StiqNote for a company, you confirm you may agree on its behalf.

#Your account

  • You need an account to comment. Keep your sign-in secure; you're responsible for what happens under your account and your API keys.
  • You must be at least 16.
  • Give us a working email address. We use it for sign-in codes and important notices.

#Teams, members and guests

  • Comments live in teams. The person who creates a team is its owner. The owner manages members, the plan and billing, and can hand the team to someone else.
  • Members can comment, invite people, create review links and API keys.
  • Guests join through a review link, see only the sites they were invited to, and can comment there. Guests are free on every plan.
  • The owner is responsible for who they let into the team and for what the team posts.

#Plans and prices

PlanMonthlyYearly (per month)Members
Free$0$03
Pro$29$245, then $6 a month ($5 on yearly) per extra member, up to 10
Agency$69$5520, then $4 a month ($3 on yearly) per extra member
  • Prices are in US dollars, or the same amounts in euros, and exclude VAT. VAT is added where the law requires it, based on your billing address. Businesses in the EU with a valid VAT number are charged under the reverse-charge rule.
  • What each plan has: Free has pins, areas and text comments, screenshots, file attachments, due dates, browser and device details on reports, every status, priority, @team mentions and guest links. Pro adds console and network logs, session replay, screen recordings, suggested edits, private comments, integrations (GitHub, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Linear, Jira, Asana, ClickUp, Trello, Notion and webhooks) and the API and MCP server. Agency adds client sign-off, your own branding for clients, the option to turn off "Made with StiqNote", 5 GB of storage per seat, and replays kept 90 days.
  • Storage is one pool per team, shared by everyone in it: 100 MB for the whole team on Free, 2 GB per seat on Pro and 5 GB per seat on Agency. Seats are the members the plan includes plus the extra members the team pays for. Screenshots, recordings, replays and attachments count toward it. When the pool is full, new uploads stop until the team deletes files, adds seats or moves to a bigger plan. On Agency, you can also write to us for more. We never delete files because a pool is full.
  • The extension and the StiqNote listing in the Chrome Web Store describe each plan in more detail. We may change what the Free plan includes. Changes to a paid plan's features or price never apply to a period you've already paid for; we'll email the owner at least 30 days before a price change takes effect at renewal.

#Free trial

  • Each person gets one 14-day trial of the Agency plan. It starts the first time they comment, invite someone or make a guest link in a team they own, and applies to that team. No card is needed.
  • When the trial ends, the team moves to Free unless the owner picks a plan. Nothing is deleted; client sign-off and branding stop until the team is on Agency.

#Payment, renewal and cancelling

  • Payments are handled by Stripe. By paying you also agree to Stripe's terms.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each month or year, at the price shown at the time, until the owner cancels.
  • Cancelling: the owner can cancel at any time from Settings → Plan → Manage. The team keeps its plan until the end of the period already paid for, then moves to Free.
  • Upgrading (Pro to Agency, monthly to yearly) takes effect straight away. You pay the difference for the rest of the current period, charged to the saved card.
  • Extra members are billed per member for the plan's period and prorated when added or removed: on Pro up to 5 (10 members in all), on Agency as many as you need.
  • Downgrading (Agency to Pro, yearly to monthly) takes effect at the end of the current period. Members beyond Pro's 5 carry over as extra members, up to 10; you can't move to Pro while the team has more.
  • Failed payments: Stripe tries again over about a week. If payment still fails, the team moves to Free. Nothing is deleted.
  • Refunds: if StiqNote isn't right for you, email support@stiqnote.com within 14 days of your first payment for a plan and we'll refund it in full, whether you're a business or a consumer. After that, payments aren't refunded, including for unused time after cancelling, except where the law requires it.

#Your right to withdraw (EU and UK consumers)

If you're a consumer in the EU or the UK, the law gives you 14 days to withdraw from a contract for a digital service. The 14-day refund above covers this and goes further: ask within 14 days of your first payment and you get the whole amount back, not only the part you haven't used. This section doesn't limit any other right you have as a consumer.

#What you can post, and what you can't

You may not use StiqNote to:

  • post anything illegal, or anything that infringes someone else's rights;
  • harass people, or post hateful, violent or sexual content;
  • upload malware, or try to break, overload or get around StiqNote's security, limits or plans;
  • scrape StiqNote or use the API beyond its published limits;
  • review, capture or record a website, or people's personal data on it, when you have no right to;
  • use the review proxy to impersonate a site, collect other people's sign-ins, or reach sites the team has no business reviewing.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. Where we can, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.

#Websites you review, and the review proxy

  • StiqNote lets you comment on, screenshot, record and replay websites. You're responsible for having the right to do that on the sites you use it on, and for any personal data those sites show (for example, customer details on a staging site). Use the "Hide all text in replays" setting and hide StiqNote on sites where it shouldn't run.
  • The review proxy (*-view.stiqnote.com) shows the site a review link was made for to the guests of that link, with StiqNote added. It serves public pages only, never forwards guests' cookies or passwords, and turns off password fields. By creating a review link, the team confirms it has permission to show that site to its guests this way. The site's content remains its owner's.
  • If you're a site owner and don't want your site shown through the proxy, email support@stiqnote.com and we'll block it.

#Client sign-off and branding (Agency)

  • Approvals: when a client approves a page or asks for changes in a review round, StiqNote records their name, their answer, any note and the time. This is a record for your own use, to keep track of what was approved. It isn't a signature, and we don't guarantee it as proof of a contract. If you need a signed agreement with your client, arrange that separately.
  • Logos and names: you're responsible for the logo, name and colour you add to your branding. You must have the right to use them, and they may not pass you off as another business. We may remove a logo that breaks these terms.
  • A small "Powered by StiqNote" stays on what your clients see.

#Your content

  • What you post (comments, screenshots, files, recordings, replays, logos) stays yours.
  • You give us the permission we need to store it, process it and show it to the people you shared it with, only to run StiqNote. This ends when the content is deleted, apart from our database provider's recovery copies, which can remain for up to 30 days.
  • We don't use your content for advertising or to train AI models.
  • For personal data in what your team posts, your team is the controller and we're its processor. Our data processing agreement is part of these terms for paying teams.

#Our software

StiqNote, its design and its code belong to us or our licensors. You may use it as these terms allow, but not copy, resell or reverse-engineer it, except where the law lets you. Open-source parts are covered by their own licences.

#Integrations and other services

When you connect GitHub or another service, what you send there is covered by that service's terms. We're not responsible for other services.

#Availability

We work to keep StiqNote running and your data safe, but we don't promise it will always be available or error-free. There's no service level agreement. We may change or remove features; if we remove a feature from a paid plan during your paid period, we'll offer a pro-rata refund for that period.

#Liability

  • StiqNote is provided "as is", as far as the law allows.
  • We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data you could have exported, or lost business.
  • Our total liability to you for anything related to StiqNote is limited to the amount the team paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or €100 if that's more.
  • Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for fraud, intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or for anything else Belgian or EU law doesn't allow us to limit. The cap above applies to business customers; consumers keep all their rights under the law of the country they live in.

#Ending the agreement

  • You can stop using StiqNote and delete your account at any time in Settings. Deleting an account removes the teams you own where no other member is left (guests don't count), with their content.
  • We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or if the law requires it. Unless there's an urgent reason, we'll give you notice and time to export your data.
  • If we ever shut StiqNote down, we'll give at least 60 days' notice and refund unused prepaid time.

#Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For significant changes we'll email account holders at least 30 days before they apply. If you don't agree, you can cancel before they take effect.

#Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Belgian law. Disputes go to the courts of Bruges, Belgium (between businesses, the Ghent company court, Bruges division). If you're a consumer, you can also bring a claim in the courts where you live, and you keep the protections of that country's law.
