StiqNote vs Marker.io
Marker.io is a bug reporting tool built around a widget on your website. Anyone who visits can send an annotated screenshot to your issue tracker, and on its Team plan the report brings session replay and console logs. It's a strong, mature product, especially for teams on Jira.
StiqNote is a Chrome extension that pins comments to the page itself, so feedback stays visible where it was left. Clients comment through a guest link, with nothing added to your site.
Here's how they compare, as of 6 October 2026. Marker.io's details come from its own pricing and help pages, listed at the bottom.
Choose Marker.io if…
- Your whole workflow runs through Jira. Marker.io's Jira integration syncs status, fields and comments both ways, and it's their deepest integration.
- You want feedback from any visitor to your site. Its widget lets anyone report without an account or an extension, on every page where the widget is installed.
- You need enterprise security: SSO, a SOC 2 report and audit logs are available on its Business plan.
- You need mobile app feedback. It has a React Native SDK, in beta.
Choose StiqNote if…
- You want comments to stay on the page. In StiqNote every note is a pin on the element, visible to the whole team on the live site. In Marker.io, feedback is an annotated screenshot sent to your tracker; we didn't find comments that stay pinned on the page.
- You don't want a script on the site. StiqNote works through the extension and a guest link, on production, staging and
localhost, even on sites you don't control. - You want replay and logs without the top tier. Both are on StiqNote Pro ($29/month for 5 people). On Marker.io they start on Team ($199/month).
- You want screen recordings. StiqNote records the tab with your voice, up to 5 minutes. Marker.io has no built-in screen recorder.
- Your designers suggest changes. Suggest an edit lets them change text, colour and spacing on the page and hand over the CSS.
- You need clients to sign off. StiqNote Agency has review rounds where clients approve each page.
- You want a free plan. StiqNote Free covers 3 people and unlimited guests. Marker.io has a trial, not a free plan.
- You want an API. StiqNote has a public API, a CLI and an MCP server. Marker.io's help center says a public API isn't available yet.

Price by team size
Per month, in US dollars, excluding tax. Monthly billing first, yearly billing in brackets. For each team size we show two prices:
- List price: the cheapest plan that fits that many people.
- Like for like: the cheapest plan that fits and has what StiqNote Pro includes: console and network logs or a session replay, Jira or Linear, and private comments.
| Team | StiqNote | Marker.io | |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 people | List price | Free $0 | Starter $59 ($39) |
| Like for like | Pro $29 ($24) | Team $199 ($149) | |
| 5 people | List price | Pro $29 ($24) | Starter with 2 extra: $71 ($47) |

| Like for like | Agency $69 ($55) | Team with 5 extra: $244 ($179) |
With StiqNote Agency's client features (your branding and client sign-off):
| Team | StiqNote | Marker.io |
|---|---|---|
| 10 people | Agency $69 ($55) | Team $199 ($149) has custom branding; approval is a status, not a formal sign-off |
| 20 people | Agency $69 ($55) | Team with 5 extra: $244 ($179), same as above |
Marker.io Starter includes 3 users, then $6 each ($4 yearly). Team includes 15, then $9 each ($6 yearly). Starter has no Jira, logs, replay or internal comments; those start on Team. Marker.io also has an Agency plan at $129 ($99 yearly) for 15 members, for eligible agencies ("conditions apply"); its page doesn't list that plan's features, so we left it out. Reporters are free and unlimited on both, but Marker.io caps guests with dashboard access at 10 on Starter and 50 on Team.
In short: StiqNote costs less on list price at every size, though on yearly billing the gap at 3 people is small ($24 against $39). With logs, replay, Jira and internal comments, it's $29 against $199 for 5 people.
How to switch
There's no importer from Marker.io. What works:
Finish running projects in Marker.io, and start new ones in StiqNote. Your old issues stay in your tracker, where Marker.io sent them.
Export a record if you want one. Marker.io offers a CSV export on its Team plan.
Connect your tracker in StiqNote (Settings → Integrations) and pick the same projects, so new feedback lands in the same place.
Remove the Marker.io widget from your site when you're done. StiqNote doesn't need a replacement script.
Send clients a guest link instead of the widget.
Questions
Is StiqNote cheaper than Marker.io?
Yes, at every team size we compared. On list price the gap is modest: $29 against $71 for 5 people, and $24 against $39 on yearly billing for 3. With replay, logs, Jira and internal comments it's large: StiqNote Pro at $29 a month for 5 people, Marker.io Team at $199.
Does StiqNote replace the Marker.io widget?
Not exactly. StiqNote doesn't put a widget on your site for every visitor. Your team uses the extension, and clients use a guest link you send them. If you want public visitors to report issues, Marker.io's widget is the better fit.
Which one is better for developers?
Both give developers the console, network requests and a replay of about the same length. Marker.io's Jira sync is deeper. StiqNote adds two-way status and comment sync for GitHub, Linear and Asana too, a public API and suggested CSS changes, at a lower price.
