StiqNote vs BugHerd

BugHerd is one of the original visual feedback tools. It pins feedback to elements on the live page, collects it in a built-in Kanban board, and has served web agencies for years. It also handles Figma files, PDFs and images.

StiqNote does the same core job, pinning comments to the page, and adds developer context (replay, console and network logs) and client sign-off. It's a newer, smaller product.

Here's how they compare on 30 September 2026. BugHerd's details come from its own site and help center, listed at the bottom.

Checked 30 September 2026

Choose BugHerd if…

  • You want a task board built in. BugHerd's Kanban board is part of every plan. StiqNote has four statuses and sends work to your tracker instead.
  • You review files as well as websites. BugHerd takes feedback on Figma designs, PDFs and images on every plan. StiqNote only does web pages.
  • Your clients use Safari or Firefox with an extension. BugHerd has extensions for Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari.
  • You want a long track record. BugHerd has been used by agencies for many years, with a wide list of integrations (Monday, Teamwork and more).
  • You need XML or JSON export. Every BugHerd plan exports to CSV, XML and JSON. StiqNote exports CSV only (on every plan).

Choose StiqNote if…

  • Your developers need the console and a replay. StiqNote Pro attaches console errors, network requests and a replay of the last 3 minutes to each report. BugHerd's own comparison says it doesn't provide console logs, network requests or session replay; it links to FullStory or LogRocket for that.
  • Clients shouldn't install anything, and you won't add a script. A StiqNote guest link opens your site in any browser. BugHerd's share link works without an account, but if BugHerd's script isn't on the site, clients are asked to install its extension.
  • You need Jira, Linear or Asana without the top plan. They're on StiqNote Pro ($29/month). On BugHerd they start at Premium ($150/month).
  • You want private notes and deadlines without Premium. Private notes and due dates are on every StiqNote plan, Free included. BugHerd has members-only comments and feedback deadlines on Premium.
  • You want longer recordings. StiqNote records up to 5 minutes. BugHerd's video captures are capped at 1 minute.
  • You want a free plan. StiqNote Free covers 3 people. BugHerd has a 7-day trial.
  • You need formal sign-off. StiqNote Agency has review rounds where clients approve each page, with every answer recorded.

With StiqNote Agency's client features (your branding and client sign-off):

Team StiqNote BugHerd
10 people Agency $69 ($55) Premium $150 ($125) has your logo; no formal sign-off found
20 people Agency $69 ($55) Premium $150 ($125), same as above

BugHerd plans include 5, 10 and 25 members, and extra members are $8 each ($6.60 yearly). At 10 and 20 people, the next plan up costs less than adding members. For replay and logs, BugHerd links to FullStory or LogRocket, which are separate products with their own price. Both have unlimited guests. BugHerd offers a 60-day money-back guarantee; StiqNote refunds in full within 14 days.

In short: StiqNote costs less on list price at every size, by $21 a month at 5 and at 10 people. The bigger gap is in what you get: BugHerd needs Premium ($150) for Jira, Linear and private comments, and has no built-in logs or replay on any plan.

How to switch

There's no importer from BugHerd. What works:

  1. Export your BugHerd tasks (CSV, XML or JSON) if you want a record.

  2. Finish open projects in BugHerd, and start new ones in StiqNote.

  3. Connect your tracker in StiqNote (Settings → Integrations), if you used one with BugHerd.

  4. Remove BugHerd's script from your sites when you're done. StiqNote doesn't need one.

  5. Send clients a guest link. They don't need an extension or an account.

Questions

Does StiqNote have a Kanban board like BugHerd?

No, and that's on purpose. StiqNote keeps four statuses and a list per page, and sends work to GitHub, Linear, Jira, Asana, ClickUp, Trello or Notion when your team plans there. If you want the board inside the feedback tool, BugHerd is the better fit.

Is StiqNote cheaper than BugHerd?

Yes, at every team size we compared: $29 against $50 for 5 people, and $59 against $80 for 10. The gap is widest when you need Jira, Linear or Asana: StiqNote Pro at $29 against BugHerd Premium at $150. BugHerd has no built-in logs or replay at any price.

Can clients use StiqNote on Safari?

Yes, through the guest link. It opens the site in any browser. The extension itself is for Chrome, Edge and Brave.
