StiqNote vs Bugsmash

Bugsmash is a review tool for almost anything: websites, PDFs, videos, images, slide decks, docs, even mobile apps and CAD files. You paste a link and it loads in Bugsmash's own review canvas, so reviewers comment with no account and no install. It also runs automated AI checks (accessibility, spelling, broken links) before a human looks at it.

StiqNote only reviews websites, but it pins comments on the real, live page, not a copy of it, and brings console errors, network requests and a replay for Pro bug reports. It's a newer, smaller product.

Here's how they compare on 6 October 2026. Bugsmash's details come from its own site, listed at the bottom.

Choose Bugsmash if…

  • You review more than websites. Bugsmash takes feedback on PDFs, videos, images, slide decks, docs and even mobile apps and CAD files, on every plan. StiqNote only reviews web pages.
  • You want AI to check the work first. Bugsmash's built-in AI reviewers scan for accessibility issues, spelling errors and broken links before anyone looks at it.
  • You want a task board and custom AI agents built in. Bugsmash has unlimited projects on its Team and Agency plans, plus "custom AI agents" (2 to 20, depending on plan). StiqNote sends work to your own tracker instead.
  • You want a lot of storage. Bugsmash's Agency plan includes 1 TB; its Free plan alone includes 5 GB. StiqNote has one storage pool per team: 100 MB on Free, 2 GB per seat on Pro and 5 GB per seat on Agency.
  • You want more integrations out of the box on a mid plan. Bugsmash's Team plan connects Slack, Jira, ClickUp, Monday, Asana, Trello, Linear, Todoist, Notion, Airtable, Zapier, n8n, Make and webhooks.

Choose StiqNote if…

  • You want feedback on the real page, not a copy of it. StiqNote's extension runs in your own browser, so it works on production, staging behind a login, and localhost. Bugsmash loads your site into its own review canvas; nothing on its site says this works on pages that need you to be signed in.
  • Developers need the console and a replay. StiqNote Pro attaches console errors, network requests and a replay of the last 3 minutes to each report. Bugsmash's own pages describe browser, OS, screen size and the page address with every comment, but don't mention console logs, network logs or session replay.
  • You want unlimited users without a per-seat bill. StiqNote Pro includes 5 people for one price, then $6 a month per extra member. Bugsmash includes only 2 users on Free and Starter, and every extra user is $5 a month on any paid plan, with no cap.
  • You want a free plan that isn't this tight. StiqNote Free covers 3 people with unlimited sites and clients. Bugsmash's Free plan is capped at 2 projects and 2 users.
  • You need formal sign-off. StiqNote Agency has review rounds where clients approve each page, with every answer recorded. Bugsmash's own pages describe comments and approvals in general terms, with no formal sign-off round found.

Price by team size

Per month, in US dollars, excluding tax. Monthly billing first, yearly billing in brackets. For each team size we show two prices:

  • List price: the cheapest plan that fits that many people.
  • Like for like: the cheapest plan that fits and has what StiqNote Pro includes: console and network logs or a session replay, Jira or Linear, and private comments.
Team StiqNote Bugsmash

Bugsmash's plans include 2 users (Free, Starter), 10 (Team) and 25 (Agency); extra users are $5 a month each on any paid plan, with no cap. Both have unlimited guests or reviewers. Bugsmash offers a 14-day trial of its paid plans (a card is needed); StiqNote refunds in full within 14 days.

In short: at 3 and 5 people, Bugsmash's list price is a bit higher than StiqNote's, and StiqNote Free covers 3 people at $0. Bugsmash has no console or network logs at any price, so there's no like-for-like plan to compare against StiqNote Pro.

How to switch

There's no importer from Bugsmash. What works:

  1. Keep using Bugsmash for files, video and PDFs, if you need those; StiqNote only covers web pages.

  2. Finish open website reviews in Bugsmash, and start new ones in StiqNote.

  3. Connect your tracker in StiqNote (Settings → Integrations), if you used one with Bugsmash.

  4. Send clients a guest link. They don't need an account or an extension.

Questions

Does StiqNote review PDFs or design files like Bugsmash?

No. StiqNote only reviews live web pages. For PDFs, images, video or design files, Bugsmash is the better fit.

Is StiqNote cheaper than Bugsmash?

At 3 and 5 people, yes: StiqNote Free is $0 for 3 people, and Pro at $29/month for 5 beats Bugsmash's Starter-plus-seats price of $40. Bugsmash has no console or network logs at any price, so if your developers need those, StiqNote Pro is the only like-for-like option.

Does Bugsmash work on a staging site I need to be signed in to?

Nothing on Bugsmash's site says it does. It loads the address you give it into its own review canvas; StiqNote's extension runs in your own already-signed-in browser instead, so it works on production, staging behind a login, and localhost.
