Website QA and UAT, one pin per bug
QA is a lot of small, precise reports. Each one needs the page, the element, the steps and the browser. StiqNote captures most of that for you, so you can keep testing.
Guests are free on every plan. No card for the trial.
One pin per bug
Click the broken element and write what's wrong. The pin stays on that element, and StiqNote saves the browser, OS, window size, zoom and page address with it.
- Areas for layout bugs: draw a box around the section that breaks.
- Text comments for copy bugs: select the words and press C.
- Freeze the page (Alt+F) to report bugs inside menus and hover states.
- Keyboard only: Tab moves between elements in comment mode and Enter places the pin. Shift+N and Shift+P step through the bugs on a page.

On Pro and Agency, each report also brings the console errors, the failed network requests and a replay of the last 3 minutes. Developers see the steps without you writing them down. Bug reports.
When words aren't enough, record the tab with your voice, up to 5 minutes.
Test across screen sizes
Every comment records the window size it was made at, and the sidebar can filter by desktop, tablet or mobile. Pins keep their spot inside the element as the layout changes, so a bug reported at 1280 px still points at the right thing at 800 px.
Track it to done
- Set the type (Bug, Warning, Question…), the priority (Low to Critical), an assignee and a due date.
- Move it through Open, In Progress, In Review and Resolved.
- Filter the page's list by type, device, author, assignee or due date.
- The Pages tab shows what's open across every page and site you test.
Send bugs to GitHub, Linear, Jira or Asana on Pro. When the developer closes the issue, the pin resolves, and you retest.
UAT with people outside the team
For user acceptance testing, invite testers or client stakeholders as guests with a guest link. They're free and unlimited, they see only the sites you share, and they don't have to install anything to comment. On Agency, review rounds let them approve each page when it passes.
Honest limits
- StiqNote is not a test case manager: no test plans, runs or pass rates.
- It works on web pages, not native mobile apps.
- It can't comment inside iframes yet.
- Logs and replay come from people using the extension, not from guests in the no-install view.
Questions
Can I use it on localhost and staging?
Yes. If Chrome can open the page, you can report on it.
Does the replay record passwords?
No. Every form field is masked, and password and card fields record nothing at all.
