StiqNote vs MarkUp.io

MarkUp.io, made by Ceros, lets you drop in a link or a file and comment on it. It handles live websites through its proxy and more than 30 file types, including PDFs and video. Every plan has unlimited users; you pay for how many new MarkUps you create each month.

StiqNote is a Chrome extension for reviewing websites, with comments pinned to the element, bug reports with logs and a replay, and a flat price per team.

Here's how they compare on 30 September 2026. MarkUp.io's details come from its pricing page and help center, listed at the bottom.

Choose MarkUp.io if…

  • You review many kinds of files. MarkUp.io takes images, PDFs (with text highlighting), video with timestamped comments and more. StiqNote only does web pages.
  • You have a large team and few reviews. Users are unlimited on every plan. If you create fewer than 50 MarkUps a month, a big team pays the same as a small one.
  • You need your own domain. MarkUp.io Business has a vanity domain, such as review.yourbrand.com. StiqNote doesn't offer custom domains yet.
  • You want formal sign-off per reviewer. MarkUp.io has statuses and a sign-off per reviewer.

Choose StiqNote if…

  • You review a lot of pages. StiqNote has no limit on pages, sites or comments. MarkUp.io Pro includes 50 to 100 new MarkUps a month, with extras at $4 each.
  • Your developers fix bugs from the feedback. StiqNote Pro adds console errors, network requests and a replay of the last 3 minutes. We didn't find these in MarkUp.io.
  • You work in GitHub, Linear, Jira or Asana. StiqNote sends threads there with status synced both ways. We didn't find native integrations with these in MarkUp.io's help center; it connects to Slack, Microsoft Teams, Zapier, Loom and Webflow, and has an API and webhooks.
  • You want to record your screen. StiqNote records up to 5 minutes with your voice. MarkUp.io records through its Loom integration.
  • You want your branding without Business. StiqNote Agency ($69) shows your logo, colour and name to clients. MarkUp.io branding starts on Business ($499).
  • You want an MCP server. StiqNote has one on Pro. We didn't find one for MarkUp.io.
  • You want a free plan. StiqNote Free covers 3 people. MarkUp.io has a 14-day trial; after it, an unpaid account is restricted.
