Install StiqNote on your site
CHECK: remove once an extension version with Share → Install on your site is in the Chrome Web Store (1.0.1 or later)
The guest link opens your site through a StiqNote review address. Some sites can't be reviewed that way: ones with strong bot protection (Cloudflare, Akamai), a staging site behind a password, or a page behind a login. Installing StiqNote on the site itself has none of those limits, because it's the site's own page loading, not a copy of it.
#Any site
Open the sidebar, Share, then Install on your site, and keep the Any site tab selected. Copy the snippet and paste it before </head>, on every page you want reviewed:
<script async src="https://stiqnote.com/e/s.js" data-site="sk_…"></script>
- Webflow: Project Settings → Custom Code → Head Code.
- Shopify: your theme's
theme.liquid, just before</head>. - Squarespace: Settings → Advanced → Code Injection, Header.
#WordPress
If the site runs WordPress, use the plugin instead of pasting code by hand.
- In Share → Install on your site, switch to the WordPress tab and copy the site key.
- In wp-admin, go to Plugins → Add New, install and activate StiqNote.
- Open Settings → StiqNote, paste the key, and choose who sees StiqNote: people with a guest link, logged-in users who can edit posts, or every logged-in user.
#What visitors load
An ordinary visitor loads nothing more than that one small, async script, and it makes no request of its own. It only loads the full StiqNote overlay for someone who opened a guest link, already has a guest session on that site, or — with the WordPress plugin — is signed in and matches the setting you chose.
#Install status
Back in Share → Install on your site, the panel shows Waiting for the script on <site> until someone you invited (a guest with a link, or someone from your team) opens a page with the script, then switches to Installed on <site> · seen N min ago.
If the site sends its own Content Security Policy, allow StiqNote in it: https://stiqnote.com for scripts, and https://api.stiqnote.com and wss://api.stiqnote.com for connections. Without that, the browser blocks the script and the status stays on Waiting.
#Questions
Does this replace the guest link?
No. The guest link still works for any site that doesn't block it. Install the script only for the sites that need it.
Will this slow my site down?
No. The script is small and loads asynchronously; it does nothing further for an ordinary visitor.
Do I need a paid plan?
No. Installing on your site works on every plan, Free included.
