Bulk actions in the Comments list
Select several comments in the sidebar's Comments list and act on all of them at once. Owners and members only; guests don't get a selection.
#Select comments
- Open the sidebar and go to Comments.
- Hover or focus a row and its pin number turns into a checkbox. Click it to select the row.
- Shift-click another row to select everything between the two, in list order.
- Once anything is selected, every row shows its checkbox, and a selection bar replaces the search row. Select all N picks everything currently listed, matching your filters and search, including folded resolved threads.
Press Esc, click ✕, or switch to another page or tab to clear the selection.
#What you can do
The action bar at the foot of the list has:
- Resolve (becomes Reopen once every selected thread is resolved).
- Assign: pick a person, or clear the assignee.
- Priority: Low to Critical.
- ⋯ for more: Status…, Due date…, Send to
(N issues) for each connected issue tracker (Pro), and Delete N of yours…, which only deletes threads you started, and asks once before it does.
Each one applies to every thread you selected. A toast confirms what happened, and you can click Undo within 10 seconds for Resolve, Assign, Priority, Status and Due date (threads that had the same value before go back to it).
#Good to know
- Bulk actions work on root comments, the threads themselves, not individual replies.
- Send to… runs the same check as sending one thread: a thread with warnings to confirm, no destination picked, or something blocking it, is skipped, and the toast says how many need sending one by one.
- Resolving a thread that's linked to an issue still closes that issue, the same as resolving it on its own.
- Everyone affected gets one notification, for example "Maya resolved 3 threads," not one per thread.
#Questions
Can guests use bulk actions?
No. Guests comment, reply, and edit or delete their own comments one at a time.
Does deleting in bulk also delete other people's comments?
No. Delete N of yours… only ever deletes threads you started yourself.
