Connect your tools

Updated 26 October 2026

Integrations are on Pro and Agency. Owners and members can connect them.

#Connect a tool

  1. Open the sidebar, then Settings → Integrations.
  2. Click Connect next to the tool.
  3. Approve StiqNote in the tool's own page (Finish on GitHub, then come back here, for example).
  4. Back in StiqNote, the tool's settings open.

#Settings for issue trackers

GitHub, Linear, Jira, Asana, ClickUp, Trello, Notion, monday.com and Basecamp share these settings:

  • Send to: the default repository, team, project, list or database (for Jira, also the issue type; for Asana, the section; for ClickUp, the workspace and space; for Trello, the board). If the tool needs something StiqNote can't fill, an orange note says what.
  • When to send: Ask each time (you send threads by hand) or Every new comment (new comments are sent on their own). With Every new comment, Only send can limit it to some comment types and a minimum priority. Replies and private comments are never sent on their own.

Under More options:

  • Jira fields (Jira): values every new issue gets, such as a Sprint, Component or Fix version. Fields Jira requires are marked with *.
  • People: members are matched to the tool's users by email. Pick a user for anyone left over. Jira hides some people's email, and Trello shares none, so there you map those by hand.
  • Comments: Both ways, as private notes (your replies go to the tool, and the tool's comments come back as private notes), Both ways, everyone sees them (they come back as replies clients see too), Only your replies go to the tool, or Off.
  • Add a StiqNote label (GitHub, Linear, Jira, ClickUp, Trello, Notion and monday.com): on by default. In Notion it needs a multi-select property named Tags or Labels.
  • When a thread is resolved (Trello): move the card to a list, or archive it.

Priorities follow the comment: Critical becomes the tool's highest, High and Low stay the same, and Medium leaves the tool's own default.

#Send a thread

Open the thread and click Send to…, then pick the tool. (With only one tool connected, the button reads Send to GitHub, for example.)

Before an issue is created, StiqNote warns you if the thread is private, the GitHub repository is public, or the reporter's email would be included.

To link an issue that already exists, choose Link to existing… and search by key, number or title.

The thread header then shows the linked issue. Click it to open it.

#Status and comments stay in sync

  • Resolving the thread closes or completes the issue; closing the issue resolves the thread. Reopening works both ways too.
  • Replies go to the issue as "Jane Smith via StiqNote". For GitHub, only in private repositories. ClickUp and Trello show them under the person who connected the tool.
  • In Trello, "resolved" is the list you picked (or archived); in Notion, the database's status property.
  • Comments in the tool come back to the thread as private notes, marked with the tool's logo. Your team sees them; guests don't, unless the tool's Comments setting shows them to everyone.

#If a send fails

The thread shows A send failed with the reason. Click Retry. Automatic sends are retried a few times on their own first.

For Jira, if the project needs fields StiqNote can't fill, the settings show Fix required fields, and nothing is sent there until it's sorted.

For Notion, only the pages and databases you shared with StiqNote when you connected are listed. To add one later, open it in Notion, then ••• → Connections, and add StiqNote.

#Slack

Connect Slack, then pick the channel and what's posted under Post to Slack when: New feedback, Replies, Resolved or reopened and Other status changes. Messages have one button to the thread (Watch what happened with a replay, else Open in StiqNote), Resolve and Assign. Only people who are members of your StiqNote team can resolve or assign from Slack.

#Microsoft Teams

Connect Microsoft Teams, then add a channel: in Teams, open the channel's ••• menu → Workflows → Post to a channel when a webhook request is received, add the workflow, and paste the link it shows in Add a channel. Once it works, StiqNote asks you to name the channel. The first channel is the default; pick another in the project's Integrations. What's posted works like Slack's, as cards; replies and status changes are cards of their own, since workflows can't post into a thread. Use Test next to the channel to check it.

#Webhooks

Connect Webhooks, then Add an endpoint (a public https address). Copy the signing secret: it's shown once. Tick the events you want, and use Send a test event in the endpoint's ••• menu to check it. Open an endpoint to see its latest deliveries; a failed one has Send again. See webhooks for the payload and signature.

#Zapier, Make and n8n

Apps for these are on the way. For now, connect Webhooks above and point it at their webhook trigger.

#Disconnect

Open the tool in Settings → Integrations and click Disconnect. Threads keep their links. Reconnect the same workspace and its settings come back.
