Notification and email settings
Open the sidebar, then Settings → Notifications and emails. Everything here is your own setting; it doesn't change what anyone else gets.
#Email me
Choose how often: Right away, Hourly, or Off. (Daily and Weekly still show if you picked one before; new accounts choose between Right away, Hourly and Off.)
- Right away sends a separate email the moment something happens, for the kinds you pick under Right away for: replies in your threads, mentions, assigned to you, a client asking for changes (Agency, for owners and members), and status changes. Anything you don't pick there still comes in the hourly summary.
- Hourly groups everything into a summary email, at most once an hour, with the newest 15 items and a count of the rest.
- Off turns off every notification email, including the weekly due-date summary below.
If you've never chosen, members get the hourly summary by default, and guests get replies right away.
#Reply by email
On a Right away email, you can reply to the email itself instead of opening StiqNote: your reply posts straight to the thread. This only works on right-away emails, not the hourly summary, since a summary can hold replies to several different threads.
A reply has to come from the same address the notification went to. If StiqNote can't post it, for example the thread was deleted, you're no longer on the team, or the round is paused, it sends a short email explaining why.
#Other notifications
- Desktop alerts: on while Chrome is open, off otherwise.
- Reactions: in the Inbox, desktop alerts and the email summary.
- Status changes: when someone moves your comment along.
- Weekly due-date summary: a Monday email of what's assigned to you and overdue or due that week. It needs Email me to be on (anything but Off).
- Client sign-off (Agency, for owners and members who can share): when a client approves a page or asks for changes.
Each is its own switch, so you can turn one off without turning off the rest.
#Questions
Why didn't I get an email for a reply?
Check Email me isn't Off, and that the kind (replies, mentions, and so on) is picked under Right away for if you're on Right away. On Hourly, it comes in the next summary, up to an hour later.
Can I stop getting the weekly due-date summary without turning off all emails?
Yes. Switch off Weekly due-date summary on its own; your other notifications are unaffected.
