Review rounds and client sign-off
Review rounds are on the Agency plan, and in the 14-day trial.
#Before you start
Your client needs to be a guest who can see the site. If they aren't yet, invite them first.
#Start a round
- Open a page of the site.
- Open the sidebar and click Share. Under Review rounds, click Start a review round (or Start round 2, and so on, for the next one).
- Under Pages, choose:
- Whole site: any page the client opens on the site is part of the round. Pages show up in the round once they visit or comment on them.
- Pick pages: add them from Pages with comments or Paste addresses (one per line; a path on its own is read as this site).
- Under Tell the client, pick which guests to ask.
- Under Who has to approve, choose Any one client can approve (the default) or Every invited client must approve.
- Add a Due date and a note if you like.
- Click Start and email (it shows how many guests you picked).
The clients you picked get an email with a link to the site.
To add the page you're on to a round later, click Add this page to Round 1.
#What your client sees
On each page in the round, a bar asks Done reviewing the page, with two buttons:
- Approve this page. If there are open comments on the page, StiqNote says how many, and they can approve anyway.
- Request changes. They write what needs to change. The note is posted on the page as a comment.
After answering, they can Undo, or go to the Next page.
#Follow the round
The round card shows its state. Open Round history to see each page, each client's answer and date, and how many comments it got in the round.
- Remind: emails a client who hasn't answered for a page. At most one reminder a day per client.
- Remove: takes a picked page out of the round, if nobody has answered it yet.
You get an email when a client approves or asks for changes. Turn it off in Settings → Notifications and emails.
#Pause, close and reopen
Open Round options (the … on the round card):
- Pause comments (once the round is closed or every page is approved): guests can't comment on the round's pages until the next round opens. Your members still can. The bar tells them feedback is closed for this round. Resume comments undoes it.
- Set (or change) deadline: a date and time the client sees in their own time zone. Once it passes, comments on the round pause automatically, even if the round isn't done yet — extend the deadline or close the round to get past it. Add up to 5 reminder emails before it (2 or 1 days before, the morning of, or a custom time), to clients who haven't answered yet or to everyone invited. Changing or removing the deadline cancels reminders that haven't gone out.
- Close round: ends the round. Reopen round brings it back.
- Round history: every round on this site.
Starting the next round closes the current one. Its answers stay in the history.
#Good to know
- Clients see their own answers and whether each page is approved. Your members see every client's answers, notes and times.
- A client can undo their own answer while the round is open. A member can clear a client's change request.
- If any client asks for changes on a page, the page shows Changes requested, whatever the rule.
- The round's record is for your own use. It isn't an electronic signature.
