Leaving feedback as a guest
Someone sent you a link to review a website. This page walks through what to do with it. There's nothing to install.
#Open the link
Click the link in any browser, on a computer or a phone. It opens the site through a StiqNote review address, showing the real page.
#Confirm your email
The first time, type your email and enter the 6-digit code StiqNote sends you. This proves it's you; there's no password.
Click the spot you mean, on a button, a heading, an image or any other part of the page, and write your note. The comment stays pinned to that spot for everyone.
On a computer you can also drag out a box around a bigger area — a whole section, not just one spot — and comment on that, plus attach a screenshot and mark it up. Your comment comes with a screenshot of the spot on its own. On a phone, tap where you mean and write the note; a screenshot attaches as-is, with no markup tool or area comments.
#Replies and notifications
Replies show under your comment, same as any chat. If someone replies to you, StiqNote emails you right away, so you don't have to keep checking back.
#What you can't see
You see your own feedback and everyone else's regular comments. You never see the team's private notes — those stay internal.
#On a phone
A bar at the bottom of the screen shows Reviewing
#Questions
Do I need to create an account?
No. Confirming your email with the code is enough.
Can I review a page behind a login?
Not through this link; it only shows public pages. Ask whoever sent it for a link that works with the StiqNote extension installed, if the site needs a login, or ask the site's team to install StiqNote on the site.
Will I see this again next time?
The code keeps you signed in on that browser, so you usually won't need to confirm your email again.
